For the awards, more than 40 very willing and able testers — from both PEOPLE and TODAY — tried hundreds of products, including makeup, skincare, haircare and more, with a quest to find the absolute best drugstore products of the year. And after weeks of wearing multiple foundations — simultaneously (!) — to work, swiping on dozens of mascaras in-between meetings and sleeping in not one but two eye creams, we’ve narrowed down the lot to 44 favorites. Since today’s reveal is all about the makeup winners, we’ve rounded up a few of our favorite skews of the bunch:
