When Beyoncé arrived on the red carpet at last night's Costume Institute Benefit at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, we thought the show was over: Queen Bey had arrived fashionably late to fashion's biggest night, and she stole the show in custom Givenchy. But just around the corner, Madonna - perhaps the original Queen of Pop - seemed ready to take back her throne. Moments after Beyoncé made her way atop the staircase, Madonna showed up in a look so punk, we thought she might have ransacked the museum's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition to get all the materials. (Which, now that we think about it, would have been quite fitting.)
