Thankfully, a week that seemed to have no shortage of sad news ended on a triumphant note. While America breathes a collective sigh of relief, many might agree it's too soon for social commentary.

Most pregnant girls dread black tie affairs. For starters, they can’t hit up the open bar. Plus, “formal” and “maternity wear” weren’t really meant to live in the same sentence.
Remember last year when Victoria Beckham had a celebratory fruit salad for her birthday? Well, this year was (thankfully) different. The fashion icon posted a picture on Twitter of her about to eat a really delicious-looking cake. Happy Birthday Victoria!
There were a lot of slits on the red carpet this week. We saw the trend sported in a myriad of different ways: Kate Hudson successfully rocked it on a formal gown, Olga Kurylenko contrasted it with a serious look and Bai Ling failed to keep it simple.
On Friday, Vera Wang showed her Spring 2014 couture bridal collection at New York City's Bridal Market, and wow, was it edgy.
The collection features bold black and white gowns and modern geometric patterns. Additionally, Wang put each of her models in full-length leather gloves. The dresses will be available to for purchase in early December.
