Monaco's Princess Caroline Is A Grandmother

PARIS — Princess Caroline of Monaco is now a grandmother.

A baby boy was the latest addition to the jet set royal family, born to her eldest son Andrea Casiraghi and his fiancée. In a statement, which didn't mention the baby's name, the Monaco palace said Princess Caroline is overjoyed at the arrival of her first grandchild. The statement said both the child and mother, Colombian heiress Tatiana Santo Domingo, are in good health.

It was announced last July that Casiraghi and Santo Domingo were engaged, but they have not yet fixed a date for the wedding.

Scientists have found a pre-Viking tunic in a thawing glacier, a discovery they say highlights a rare advantage of global climate change.

Reuters reports that the woolen garment was uncovered in 2011 in south Norway, 6,560 feet above sea level on what is believed to have been a Roman-era trade route. Carbon dating revealed that the greenish-brown tunic was made around the year 300.
