We all know Tabatha Coffey, Bravo’s sharp-tongued Aussie style pro, from her stint on Shear Genius and her latest hit, Tabatha Takes Over. And now, she’s bringing her talents online, joining us at PEOPLE StyleWatch once weekly to dish on some of the best – and worst – celebrity looks of the week. Keep in mind the opinions below belong solely to the stylist … though she’s probably saying what lots of you are thinking, anyway!
Today, she takes on Fergie, whose maternity wear is starting to rival Kim Kardashian’s:
Fergie, babe, what’s going here? Are you channeling Stevie Nicks at a Johnny Cash benefit down at SXSW?
Dare I say it, but good gosh this is far too much black for my liking. And you know that’s pretty severe coming from someone who wears all black all the time.

You know what it is? It’s the fact you have too many layers going on here. I get it that you’re pregnant and trying to either conceal a (not-even-showing) baby bump or trying not to show too much skin, but c’mon: you need to reveal a little here.
You appear as though you are one endless canvas of black from the neck down with the exception of your (holy hell I love them) boots. Ditch the sheer witchy-cloaky thingy and show off those toned arms of yours and a little leg. You’re Fergie for crying out loud!
I’m not sure what time of day this photo was taken, but you look a bit washed out. I think a little pop of color on the lips would have been wise and a quick wisp of some blush would take you from drab to fab.
And good God girl, get some volumizing mousse and a teasing comb! Your bedhead looks like real bedhead and not in the good bedhead kind of way if you know what I mean. Is there a licensed cosmetologist in the house?! We need one STAT!
