Pageant contestants always have a slew of beauty secrets up their sparkly sleeves, from using Scotch tape to remove unwanted eye shadow to applying butt glue to "pull up your behind." But the most surprising secret of all? The Miss America contestants hopefuls do their own hair and makeup.
A quick update from me on one of my favourite fashion topics, footwear. Specifically, boots and even more specifically, mostly ankle boots.
No matter what shape legs you have - yes, even including if you have cankles - there is an ankle boot for you that will do all those wonderful things that ankle boots do: look cool, lengthen the look of your legs, go with literally anything - skirts, dresses, trousers, jeans etc - and they're so much easier to find good versions of that fit properly, compared to regular boots.
New York Fashion Week has finally wrapped. After watching dozens of shows and presentations, the editors at HuffPost Style have already decided on which Spring 2014 looks we'd like to purchase as soon as they hit stores. But on the other hand, we've seen some things come down the runway that we can do at home.
